Practical advice. Relatable stories. Straightforward motivation.

Having delivered keynotes to audiences across the globe, Carl provides that unique blend that so few can deliver. Trusted by event organisers and loved by audiences, there's a reason Carl is booked and rebooked.

Carl's audiences split into two camps. People who want to do better and improve their mindset. And people looking to start or grow a business in the right way, with a human touch.

It's never just an off-the-shelf keynote. We work with you to build the audience experience beyond the moments on stage.

What Carl brings to the event

Every session is adapted to the event. But to make it easier as a booker, here are the themes Carl is most often asked to deliver.

Mindset keynotes

Coping with change. Productivity in a world of distraction. Looking after yourself. Prioritisation. Avoiding shiny object syndrome. Helping the room do more, be better, and embrace the direction of travel regardless of what's changing around them.

Business keynotes

Human-to-human relationships. Practical business behaviours and skills. Leadership. Small business advocacy. Going old-school in business.

Finance & franchising

A particular niche. Specific trends and observations, including the impact of artificial intelligence, the future of fintech, and where the franchise sector is heading next.

Anything but death by PowerPoint

Lessons are woven into every message. The core focus is entertaining and motivating the audience through storytelling, to make them receptive to the message you want shared.

What audiences say

The audience loved the depth of the content, and I loved the incredible energy Carl brought to the conference. Phenomenal and insightful speaker.

Unique. Engaging. Inspiring. Just a few words to describe the power of Carl's keynote presentations. The depth of his knowledge is astounding and his delivery always on point. I could not recommend Carl enough.

Carl's session was not only informative but also truly inspiring.

A really inspiring, energetic and engaging speaker.

Engaging and full of thought-provoking ideas. Highly recommend.

Very enlightening and entertaining, with plenty of first-hand experience to validate the content.

How it works

A clear, predictable process. So you know exactly what you're getting, and when.

1. Booking call

First contact

We learn about your event and your audience, confirm availability, and scope your requirements for the day. Plus any pre and post event activities such as media interviews, social media amplification, content production and audience engagement. Travel and logistics get covered here too. Subject to contract, the booking is confirmed and diarised at this point.

2. Contract & deliverables

Confirmation in writing

You'll receive a contract shortly after the call. It details everything we discussed, confirms the fees payable, and summarises the key deliverables expected from the engagement.

3. Scoping session

Getting under the skin

Once the contract is signed, this is where we get to work. As every keynote is completely bespoke, a follow-up call is diarised to really get to know what we need to do. Questions range from the overarching theme of the conference, right through to the avatar of the typical attendee. Their thoughts, fears, feelings and behaviours we're looking to address. A good chunk of this call is brainstorming, to help create a unique impact that does exactly what you need it to.

4. Design & approval

The creative work

With hundreds of talking points already designed, linking back to relatable stories or key lessons, we design the flow of the speech. We make sure it fits the time slot (an opening keynote is very different to a closing one) and aligns to both the theme of your event and the desired outcomes. If there are deadlines for internal review, we hit them. All imagery used is licensed.

5. Pre-event activities

Building the warm-up

Whether it's a media interview, a warm-up video, a pre-conference meet and greet, or a social media announcement post. We get it done. Just as promised in the contract.

6. Event day

The big day itself

Event day is extremely nerve-wracking. Carl knows. He's run events himself. Carl will communicate clearly about arrival, and will be at your event at the time agreed, well in advance of stage time. Years of experience also mean he knows what spare kit is needed. All you need to do is relax, and maybe worry about the other speakers.

7. Post-event

After the day is done

Once the day is over, our relationship isn't. Any post-event audience engagement we agreed gets done. And in any event, we'd love to hear how it went. Plus, of course, whether you want to rebook for next year.
